Year Six: Term 5 Home Learning

Dear Year 6

As you have probably been told it looks like we will still have to stay off school for a bit, we thought we would send you a message to let you know that we have not forgotten you and we do miss you terribly – who else will listen to our stories and arguing except you lot!

It has been so lovely to receive emails from you telling us what you have been up to, thank you for these, they certainly stopped us missing you so much.  Now as we head into term 5 we want you to keep doing some work each day and make sure you read and keep up with the AR quizzes – we can see how you are doing and how near to your target you are.

So what will happen….

Each morning you will receive 2 emails (you are lucky as everyone else only gets one!) One email will come from Mrs Brown, this will have your maths for the day.  Follow the instructions and then send it back to the email address.  Please make sure that you put ‘year 6 – maths’ in the subject box.  The second email will come from Miss Hayes, again follow the instructions, completing both the GPS and English and send it back.  This time write ‘year 6 – English’ in the subject box.

On a Monday only, you will also be sent some topic work (we are going to start with science), this is to do throughout the week.  You can send this back at any point during the week.  When you send this put ‘year 6 – science’ in the subject box.

It is important that you try to do the work, just a little every day keeps our minds active.  Please do not worry if something is hard – just have a go or you can always email us and we can give you a few tips.  We are looking forward to seeing your work later today.

Keep smiling Year 6 and we look forward to seeing you soon so that we can have lots of fun together.

Mrs Brown and Miss Hayes
